Ahh Mondays. Normally people dread the fact that they go back to work after a fabulous weekend; well at least now they have Mehndi Mondays to look forward to!

If you've been following me on social media (specifically instagram and Facebook), you would have noticed my Henna Shoes! They're hard to miss because of the intricate and extensive work that has been done on it.

I bought a blank pair of Canvas Shoes and worked my henna magic on them!

When I first finished them, I was hesitant. I wasn't sure how people would react to them, and I wasn't sure how much I actually liked them (keep in mind I follow and admire a lot of professional, experienced henna artists).

When I showed my friends and family pictures of the shoes, their reaction shocked me. I didn't expect people to like it as much as they did! Someone actually saw the picture and asked me to customize their TOMS for an indian event!

I'm pleasantly surprised with the everyone's response to the shoes; so far, I've heard only good things, and hope to hear more soon!

That's all for now! if you'd like to see the video of the Henna Shoes, click here!

I will be putting them up on my Etsy shop soon!

Aanchal's Henna Tips

#1

Let the paste fully dry and avoid water on the area where henna was applied.

#2

The longer the paste is on, the better it is for your stain. Use something sticky like hairspray or lemon-sugar to keep the henna on.

#3

Once the paste is off, protect your stain with oil like coconut oil, or hand salve. Especially before showering!
