Mehndi Mondays Coming Your Way Soon!

I've been MIA again!

I'm now interning at a Bridal Salon not too far from my house. For some of you who may not know, a place that sells wedding dresses can be referred to as a Bridal Salon (I did not know that!).

I applied thinking I could woo them with my henna skills, but when I researched the company I realized I was wrong. Whatever, I still liked the place when I went in for my interview. I've had 2 jobs and an internship before this and I hated all of them- and so I was afraid it was becoming a habit. When I started at this place, literally within the first hour, I was comfortable and I was loving it.

The vibes are chill, and the people are awesome. Something I noticed was that I really get along with older people, compared to people my age. I prefer to be the only 19-21 yr old intern at a place, compared to having a bunch of other young people there. Who knows why, it's just another weird thing about me.

So yeah, this place has Wedding Wednesday blog posts (which I help write) and I can't help but think that idea is brilliant. This way they can write in advance and what not and post once a week. I figure with all the time and effort I put in to making this website, I should update more frequently, and not only when I have time. The girl in charge of the blogs at the bridal salon has so much on her plate, yet manages to get her blog posts done once a week.

I've been inspired to do the same. So now instead of sporadically posting, I'll be having Mehndi Mondays on several Mondays... (and if I forget, then it'll be I-forgot-tuesdays BUT I don't plan on forgetting so stay tuned).

That's all for now! Check back on www.hennabyaanchal.com on Monday if you're actually interested in what I have to say! Adios!

Aanchal's Henna Tips

#1

Let the paste fully dry and avoid water on the area where henna was applied.

#2

The longer the paste is on, the better it is for your stain. Use something sticky like hairspray or lemon-sugar to keep the henna on.

#3

Once the paste is off, protect your stain with oil like coconut oil, or hand salve. Especially before showering!
