Aloha everybody!

Mehndi Monday blog post #1 at your service. I'l talk about procrastination today!

Procrastination is the worst habit one can develop. It obviously leads to not getting anything done, lack of productivity, and laziness. I've been procrastinating a lot this summer with jobs, internships...even henna related things.

I have an appointment on Thursday, to try out a henna/jagua mix. I still have yet to mix the paste. I did roll a bunch of henna cones though, so I have that going for me!

I really should be mixing the batch of henna, it should've been done on July 10th, but I sort of forgot about it. By the time I realized, it was late and I was exhausted.

My procrastination is making me lazy, and undetermined to get things done. The fact that I'm writing this post is probably the only good thing I've got up my sleeve. I have no reason to be procrastinating yet I continue to do it.

I need to start finding ways to be more proactive. If not through work, then I should really focus on my henna business. I am impressed with myself at the fact that I rolled about maybe 45-50 cones, whether it is for paint or henna.

Cone rolling actually takes up most of my time when making the henna because if it's not rolled right, it's useless. Mixing, straining and filling are pretty time consuming too. For what it's worth, I took a lot of empty/plain items and hennafied them! I made two ceramic elephants and an iPad case, and more.

I'm exhausted because I went to sleep late on Saturday and woke up extremely early on Sunday. I'm lacking sleep, thus I am lacking common sense, and my charm! (Charm part was a joke)

Anyways, I hope this post wasn't too disappointing. I planned to talk about glitter tattoos, but my brain isn't functioning the way it normally functions. Please forgive me, and remember never to procrastinate like me.

Aanchal's Henna Tips

#1

Let the paste fully dry and avoid water on the area where henna was applied.

#2

The longer the paste is on, the better it is for your stain. Use something sticky like hairspray or lemon-sugar to keep the henna on.

#3

Once the paste is off, protect your stain with oil like coconut oil, or hand salve. Especially before showering!
