White Henna

Everybody and their mothers have been crazy about White Henna. I can totally understand why though, it's so PRETTY. I mean come on, how can you think this is ugly?

White Henna, White Henna NYC

It's so elegant and doesn't have a smell. Well I hate to break it to you, but the picture above is actually lotion. It looks like white henna but it's not. It's a henna design, done in lotion. No such thing as white henna...it's just a white pigment, paint or cream that takes on the design of a henna design. I'm not sure if that makes sense, just know henna is a plant, and white henna is not. Hopefully that clears things up.

Now, some people and artists have created their own white henna that can stay on your skin for longer than a day. Henna Caravan sells Hennaglam

https://hennacaravan.com/shop/hennaglam.html

It'll stay on your skin for longer than a day, it's just expensive. Another option that most artists go with is Prosaide mixed with white pigments, or white body paint. It's all about proportions- I tried with Prosaide and body paint but it just smeared off... I think I used too much body paint and not enough Prosaide (cosmetic glue).

So why am I writing this? And why am I claiming my lotion design as white henna?

I'm showing you all the way white henna would look on one's skin.

Why am I writing this?

I just want to educate you guys on what white henna really is. It's a pretty fab thing, just make sure you mix it right, or at least make sure whatever you're putting on will stick.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY GOLECHA WHITE HENNA. I USED IT ONCE ON MYSELF AND GOT A WEIRD RASH.

Don't buy that. You're 100% better off with cosmetic glue and pigments, or Hennaglam.

So there's that! Hope you enjoyed this small post about white henna.

Lotion in a cone does wonders!

Aanchal's Henna Tips

#1

Let the paste fully dry and avoid water on the area where henna was applied.

#2

The longer the paste is on, the better it is for your stain. Use something sticky like hairspray or lemon-sugar to keep the henna on.

#3

Once the paste is off, protect your stain with oil like coconut oil, or hand salve. Especially before showering!
